THE RECAP – Seth Swenson – LSU Livestock Show
We caught up with Mr. Seth Swenson after he judged the 2022 LSU State Livestock Show. Check out his thoughts below…

Tell us a little bit about your champion.
The LSU Champion set the bar for what I was looking for. Perfect build and balance and brought as many extras to the table as any. A very unique animal that’s extremely hard to put together.

Did any breeds suprise you?
My expectations were high going into LSU as I had the opportunity to sort it last year. However, 2022 exceeded those expectations! Every breed was better and deeper than the previous year! So with that said, the overall depth in every class was a sweet surprise.

What was the toughest class of the day/show?
Really can’t pin it down to just one class. Overall the cross gilts, cross barrows, and a couple Hamp classes were as tough of classes to win as anywhere in the country.

For you, what was the most memorable moment of the show?
Definitely the Grand Drive! Was pretty awesome having so many elite breed champions come together.

What was the best meal you had?
Mike Anderson’s Seafood does not disappoint!
