We caught up with Mason Morris, exhibitor of the Supreme Champion Commercial Gilt at the Tulsa State Fair.

What’s your all-time favorite fair food?
I like a state fair corn dog.

What’s your biggest win or proudest moment so far?
Winning Supreme Champion Commercial Gilt at the Tulsa State Fair.

How do you stay motivated during the tough days in the barn?
I always try to remember that the days in the barn at home will have a positive impact on show day. I have to put in the hours when no one is watching so we can perform well on the days everyone is watching.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a first-year exhibitor?
Get to know your animal. Each one has its own personality, and learning them will help you present them to their best potential.

What do you look forward to most about your state fair?
I enjoy seeing people from other areas of the state that I don’t get to see often. I love the competition and enjoy spending time with family and friends.
