We caught up with Mr. Will Hilty before he steps “Inside the Ring” to sort the Barrow Show at the 2024 Oklahoma Youth Expo. Learn more about Will below!

Tell us a little about yourself and your background in the ag industry?
I grew up on a diversified livestock farm in the southwestern corner of PA, showing cattle and pigs throughout my 4h career. I now own and operate Hilty Showpigs which consists of 140 sows with my wife Callie, and our daughters Kinley and Kenna.

What are you looking forward to most about judging this show?
I look forward to working with the youth of Oklahoma, and the incredible staff at OYE. The young people are awesome, and I’m sure the stock will be exceptional.

Any expectations going into it?
It’s considered by many to be one of the best barrow shows in the country, so to be honest my expectations are sky high.

What is a nonnegotiable for you when sorting hog shows?
Balance, build, and uniqueness

Favorite hotel chain to stay in while at shows?
Hampton

What are you looking forward to in 2024?
Spending time with family and friends while attending shows with our girls.
