Inside The Ring Showmanship Edition – Kyle Webster
Mr. Kyle Webster will be sorting the Junior & Senior Swine Showmanship at the 2023 Team Purebred National Junior Show – Get to know a little about Kyle in the below interview, brought to you by YGB Livestock Camps!

Who got you involved in the livestock industry and how?
My parents for sure. The livestock industry is all that I’ve known for my whole life. They instilled that passion in me since the day I was born.

Where are you from and what brought you to where you currently live?
I’m originally from Chrisman, Illinois where I grew up helping my dad at Hi Point Genetics for a while until I started working at Norman Farms during the summers where I mainly worked with the show boars. I currently live in Atlanta, Indiana where I started last June when I graduated from Western Illinois University. My parents have always told me to go out and do something new to learn how other people do it, so when Chad and Morgan Day offered me the job I couldn’t say no!

Biggest pet peeve in showmanship ring?
I’d say my biggest pet peeve is having your hand or brush on the pig’s back while you are showing.

One of your favorite memories with your sibling?
I actually have 2 brothers and it’s hard to pick just one memory, but if I had to pick a favorite it would probably be the state fair where our parents just sent us three boys without parental supervision. That got pretty fun!

Favorite memory from a junior summer show:
My favorite memory is actually pretty recent. It was the year my girlfriend’s family, the Guyer’s, put 3 gilts in the top 5 overall at NJSS. It was pretty cool to be a part of something so amazing.

What’s something you enjoy that doesn’t involve livestock?
Bowling. For those that don’t know we are pretty serious bowlers in Tipton County, so if anyone thinks they can hang with the Top Wood Strikers, they better bring their A-game!
