Team Purebred Gilt Judge

What is your favorite Expo memory?
There’s several memories that come to mind.  The first time I stepped into the ring to judge the expo approximately 25yrs ago. I will never forget the set of incredible crossbred gifts that were drove that day, one class was stacked, as almost every gilt in that class made the first cut.  I’ve had the honor to judge Expo many times from the crossbred gilts, crossbred barrows and many breeds it’s always exciting.

From the breeders prospective the first time one of our customers had Champion Chester gilt, along with other customer’s Championship honors to follow

What is the most memorable boar/gilt/barrow from Expo?
There’s been many influential breeding stock that has come out of Expo.  Grand Drive a Chester boar that had made a big impact on the breed that we had had purchased from Ronnie Perry.

Several Crossbred Champions that were some of the best that had been shown all summer come out of the Expo.
