We Caught up with Mr. Hayden Everhart, exhibitor of the Supreme Champion Breeding Gilt at the 2024 American Royal. Learn more about Hayden below..

What made your champion unique?
She fed easy and got better as she matured. It’s hard to keep a big one pulled together and we knew she’d be maxed out when we set our sights on KC.

Favorite quote from the judge about your champion?
She loved that my gilt had a massive frame but was still feminine and elegant.

Biggest challenge you faced getting your barrow/gilt ready for the show?
It was a challenge to keep her full and deep bodied while maintaining her weight and keeping her sleek and feminine up front.

I want to thank my dad for feeding her and getting her to the show and my brother for helping me work her and get her ready. I also want to thank the Bobell family for allowing me to show her – she is special.

Favorite whip?
Sullivan Supply’s Alpha whip is definitely my favorite.

Favorite thing about this show?
I love how they do the grand drive for all 4 specifies of market animals. I’d love to make it into that grand drive some day.
