Tell us a little about your champion:
My Chester barrow, named Coyote, was bred by White House Genetics in Missouri. He was a very laid back barrow, and never got in a rush for anything. Seriously, I don’t think he ever came out of low gear – which didn’t always mesh well with my intense showing style.

Normally, things are pretty intense and stressful. However this year in Springfield I would say “go with the flow” describes the mood of the week.

Do you prefer summer or winter shows? Why?
Winter shows. Hands down the best.

Who’s been your biggest influence?
My parents have been there every step of the way, even through all the fights and yelling matches at the barn. Mom is my right hand at every show, and hasn’t missed a show since 2020. Dad helps daily with feeding, and takes care of things while mom and I are off showing all the time. He wasn’t able to make it to Springfield this year because of farmer duties, but thankfully Walton allowed him to watch from the tractor seat. I’m not one to give compliments but nothing I’ve accomplished would’ve been possible without the help and support of my parents.

Do you and your family raise pigs?
No we do not. I’ve been fortunate enough to make great connections with breeders who support me and help me accomplish my goals – thank you for letting me be a small part in your success

What’s your favorite thing to do in the barn?
Being in the barn is my “me time”. I love turning on some music, then washing & walking every night.

What’s your favorite thing to do in the summer?
Spending time with friends and family will always be my favorite thing to do.
