Tell us a little about your champion:
Brad the Berk is very special. I have loved Berkshire’s for years even though my parents aren’t huge fans. Brad was very hard to break this spring and I almost gave up. I am glad I didn’t! Him and I have a real bond now and I can’t wait to show him at our state fair in two weeks!

What do your days leading up to a show look like?
We walk our pigs every day, train them to walk with their head up and build stamina. We wash/rinse them daily and of course feed them. Brad loves to eat!

Describe the moment you were selected as a champion.
Pure excitement! I was so nervous.

Do you prefer summer or winter shows? Why?
Summer because it’s very cold in the winter in North Dakota & hard to walk pigs in snow!

Who’s been your biggest influence?
My mom!

What’s your favorite thing to do in the barn?
Feed, I love mixing the feed.

What’s your favorite thing to do in the summer?
Show pigs & go to fairs!
