What do you do to overcome your obstacles?
Anyone who knows me can attest to the fact I am high energy and with that, at times, can be labeled as high stress. When obstacles are presented, after a couple hours of me getting down on everything, the first I do is to look to my family and support system for help. You truly can’t do anything, not only in this industry but life, alone and I am blessed to have what I think are the absolute best people in my corner.
What is your favorite thing about your animal?
Looking back, as odd as it may sound, I think he knew it was my final shot in Sedalia and did exactly what he needed do to give me a shot. He had to come a long way in the 96 hours prior to the show and responded exactly how we asked him to.
What is one thing you had to overcome together?
I would say that the only thing “Clay” and I had to overcome was the fact that he was one of the most disgusting pigs we have ever had in the barn. It was always drawing straws on who cleaned his pen, and more times than not I just so happened to be busy doing something else!
What is at the top of your bucket list?
Throughout my junior career, the very top of my bucket list was to win the Missouri State Fair. To finally be able to achieve this goal in my last year was a surge of emotions and a day I will never forget.
Favorite snack?
I am very adventurous with my food choices, so I am always trying something different to snack on but a sweet tea to drink is a must.
Favorite show day breakfast?
Normally my mind and nerves are going 100 miles per hour and I skip breakfast but if I do have it, I am pretty high on McDonald’s bacon, egg, and cheese bagel.
