What part of the show are you looking forward to the most and why?
I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with the kids and being able to sort a show that I consider to be one of my favorite shows. We have so many unforgettable memories over the years at the Summer Spectacular. I am also looking forward to watching my kids exhibit their barrows.

What’s one thing you can’t go without when judging a show?
Comfortable shoes. I pretty much wear the same pair of shoes at every show I judge.

Your favorite national summer show memory?
I have a couple of favorite memories. My first would have to be raising the Grand Champion Gilt at the 2016 Summer Spectacular. My second would have to be raising the previous record-selling Yorkshire Gilt at the 2022 Summer Spectacular. This show has always been one of our favorites, and I’m thankful to add judging the Purebred Gilt Show to the list of memories.

Besides shows, what’s something else you look forward to during the summer?
We look forward to heading to the lake as much as we can. It’s a little harder to make that happen these days, but we try to get away whenever we can.
