Breckyn Bloomberg

We Caught up with Ms. Breckyn Bloomberg, exhibitor of the Supreme Champion Breeding Gilt at the 2024 Aksarben Stock Show and the Grand Champion Purebred Gitl at the 2024 NJSA Eastern Regional. Learn more about Breckyn below..

What made your champion unique?
This is by far the most unique gilt we have ever had the privilege to show. Her far reaching pieces will make this breed better far beyond her showring career. Another cool fact about her is that my brothers and I got to take turns showing her, and she was always ready to hit the ring with any of us!

Favorite quote from the judge about your champion?
“There is one that absolutely lit me up the second she came out here. I think she is absolutely incredible! She is my style, my speed, she is everything I want in a female, in terms of bone, feature and foot size, while still being athletic!” – Hunter Langhoff

“In terms of what we need to do to be elite in today’s terms, I could sit out here for a long time and say it was close, but it’s really not. There is one of them out here that is uniquely different when you talk about skull shape, you talk about bone, talk about roundness of cage, bigness of hind leg, and one packing this heat, that never changed her gate from the time she walked into the ring- that Yorkshire is your grand!” – Willie Kirkpatrick

Biggest challenge you faced getting your barrow/gilt ready for the show?
She was a challenge to keep her skin right. Random things would cause small breakout on her skin so she was really pampered!

Favorite whip?
I love the Alpha Whip!

Favorite thing about this show?
This was the first year we showed at Aksarben. My mom grew up showing at this show so it was fun to share in that tradition. To have a purebred used as the supreme grand was a pretty awesome experience!

I love the Eastern Regional! It’s a bit of a drive but we love the facility and the NJSA family that show there. Going to both of these show as a family back to back meant lots of drive time, but that just adds to the memories!
