We Caught up with Mr. Avery Wolfe, exhibitor of the Grand Champion Purebred Gilt at the 2024 Iowa State Fair 4-H. Learn more about Avery below..

What do you do to overcome your obstacles?
I try really hard not to get down on myself or the situation. I like to push through whatever it is causing the obstacle. If I push through, I find that usually, the end result is a bigger joy than failing.

What is your favorite thing about your animal?
My favorite thing about my animal is her personality. I find her to be a playful pig. She is easy to show and usually cooperates really well.

What is one thing you had to overcome together?
I know I previously mentioned that she was a playful pig but, I will admit, she was stubborn at first. Getting her broke was a challenge!

What is at the top of your bucket list?
I would like to contribute to raising and selling pigs with my family and the Standlee family for Full Circle Genetics.  

Favorite snack?
My favorite snack is peanut butter pretzels.

Favorite show day breakfast?
My favorite show day breakfast is a breakfast burrito or biscuits and gravy.
