What made your champion unique?
One thing that made cali unique was how I had to show him. He would not relax so I finally learned that if I put my hand on him for constant contact he would relax and show perfectly.

Favorite quote from the judge about your champion?
The Beyers brothers agreed that Cali was broad, square, and genuine in how he was put together with covering the basics first and being able to push the limits with extra shape, look, and the ability to get up and go.

Biggest challenge you faced getting your barrow/gilt ready for the show?
The biggest challenge I faced was getting him broke. Cali was one of the hardest animals I have ever had to break. As I said in the first question I had to learn how to stay in constant contact with him to keep him relax. Placing my hand on the side of his hip comforted him and allowed him to stroll around the ring.

Somebody you would like to thank:
I want to give a special thanks to the Goss family. Thank you for always believing in me and giving me the opportunity to show high quality livestock. I would also like to thank my family for always allowing me to chase my crazy dreams.

Favorite whip?
An old Sullivan whip that has black tape at the end of it.

Favorite thing about this show?
Nothing beats being able to show on the green shavings with the white fence around the ring.

Podcasts or playlists?
I usually have a local country music station playing in my barn on my radio.

Brush in hand or back pocket?
Mix of both. I usually show with a brush in my hand but with cali I could not.
