What made winning at this Show Special for you?
The NJSA SW Regionals is always the show that starts our fall season, so to kick it off like this, left me incredibly excited.
If you could build your dream trailer what would it include?
Because I raise almost every pig I show, I think it would be really amazing to win the NJSA Premier Breeder trailer someday.
Do you get nervous?
How can you get nervous when you are doing what you love and enjoy the most? I would say, I get hyped up and maybe a little stressed, but not nervous.
Who is your favorite judge? Why?
I think my favorite judge to both watch or show under is Troy Sloan. I always think you can read so much passion in the way he looks at the pigs and how he speaks on the mic. It inspires me.
What was the most special thing about your champion?
I’m incredibly proud to say that I raised this barrow. Early last spring, his entire litter had my heart. I had a hard time deciding which barrow to keep, but I think I picked the right one!
Most used product/item at a show in the showbox:
Final Bloom: my favorite smell, the pigs’ favorite shine!!
Favorite breed to show? Why?
BERKS!!! From their adorable little faces looking up at me in the crates to their often fiery personalities, looking at them just makes me happy. I love their color pattern and compared to other purebred breeds, they seem to have a body shape that more resembles a cross. I just like everything about them!
