We Caught up with Ms. Adleigh Greene, exhibitor of the Grand Champion Market Hog at the 2024 Georgia National. Learn more about Adleigh below..

What do you do to overcome your obstacles?
Whenever I face an obstacle the first thing I do is cry if I am being honest, haha. But once I calm down I normally talk things out with my mom or whoever is helping with my pigs at the time!​

What is your favorite thing about your animal?
My favorite thing about my animal would be how easy he was to walk and break. He was never an issue to walk at home so I was able to actually enjoy working him. We had a great relationship from the start.

What is one thing you had to overcome together?
We didnt have many issues but at the first show we took him to in Perry he would not walk past the wash racks because he was scared. So when I had planned to show him in showmanship I couldnt get him up to the ring in time causing me to use another pig which was very inconvenient. But as soon as showmanship was over I kept trying to walk him past the wash rack to get him comfortable with getting to the ring. By the end of that weekend he was still a little skittish but we could get him past with a little bit of fighting. By fair he walked by the wash racks just fine and we had no issues.  

What is at the top of your bucket list?
Right now the top of my bucket list would be placing top five at our state show in February. In the future I would love to place top five at a national show!

Favorite snack?
My favorite snack I think would have to be soft pretzels or pretzel bites. I dont know what it is about them but I eat SO many at fair.

Favorite show day breakfast?
if I had to choose one thing I really like a breakfast bowl and a good energy drink and coffee.
