We caught up with Addison Stevens following her Reserve Champion Barrow finish in San Antonio to talk about Luka and the work behind the win.

Tell us a little bit about your champion:
He was a York named Luka, named after the basketball player Luka Dončić. He was a little bit crazy but also very sweet.

Who is somebody that helped you achieve this win?
My mom and dad, who helped take care of my pigs when I was dancing ballet, and my breeder Jason Lackey. He helped me make my pig look the best he could and gave me one that could do great things. I owe all of my success throughout my show career to him.

What was the most challenging homework you had to make up?
My honors math homework.

What was a challenge you had to overcome with your champion or at the show?
My pig got very sick and would not stop coughing when I walked him. I had to slowly work him up so he had the stamina to walk enough to show.

What’s your go-to snack in the snack tub?
Whales — they’re superior to Goldfish because they are cheesier and saltier!
