– Big Paw is a four year old boar that we raised, which stands at Crossroads. He continues to prove his relevancy for today’s showpig needs
-The Dam is a Jump sow that is a littermate to the Res Champ York Gilt at Tulsa in 2020. Jump was a littermate to Jasper the $300,000 boar we raised in ’20
Just like any other farming operation we could always use more daily labor.
How many sows do you have?
Currently we have roughly 250 sows.
Having multiple breeds being York, Duroc, Hamp, Chester, Berk, and Crosses.
Favorite ear notch?
Don’t really have one, but I guess it would be 1-1. When you raise one like Jasper and he is accepted by the public the way he was, you’ll always cherish that.
Something you miss about the “good ole days”
It is a fast-paced world and the showpig industry is no different. One thing that makes this gilt success even more rewarding is that the Scott Logue family has been very loyal to our family’s operation. You don’t see that as much as “the good ole days”. Scott’s family began their show career with a pig from us in 2009 and has purchased pigs every year since. We have enjoyed our friendship over the years and couldn’t thank them enough for their faith in our genetics! We are excited they get to end their show career with a huge win with a Rodibaugh gilt!
