Tell us a little about your champion:
My Duroc gilt was raised by Ted Laird & Family. She is a Main Man x Hammer, her name is Regina.
My days leading up to a show consist of lots of walking, tanning, and brushing pigs. There are no off days.
The moment I was selected as Grand Gilt is a feeling that is very indescribable. It’s a feeling I will remember for the rest of my life and I’m thankful that all my family and friends were by my side!
Do you prefer summer or winter shows? Why?
I prefer summer shows because it’s warm, and easier to walk and tan pigs.
Who’s been your biggest influence?
My biggest influence is easily my dad. He has always made my dreams a reality and has drilled into my head that half ass work never goes far in life, always give 110%.
Do you and your family raise pigs?
My family owns and operates Bobell Farms consisting of 80 Crossbred and York sows.
What’s your favorite thing to do in the barn?
My favorite thing to do in the barn is clean pens and jam to music with my sisters.
What’s your favorite thing to do in the summer?
My favorite thing to do in the summer is show pigs with my friends and family!
