Tell us a little about your champion:
This is a barrow that has been a part of our show string this Spring/Summer and it has been a battle the whole time between my brother and I about who gets to show him each time we take him out. Fortunately both of us had a lot of luck with him!

What do your days leading up to a show look like?
The days leading up to a show are pretty busy making sure we have skin & hair just right, packing the showboxes & trailer, and exercising pigs. This is also the point where I start to get nervous wondering what the outcome is going to be at the actual show.

Describe the moment you were selected as a champion.
I was pretty pumped to see this barrow end on a good note with a win like this, especially since this was my first time showing at the NJSS.

Do you prefer summer or winter shows? Why?
Definitely winter because that’s when we’re feeding & getting our most important set of pigs ready for #TheGreatestShow

Who’s been your biggest influence?
I would have to say my mom and dad because they’re who got me started showing and motivate me to be better everyday.

Do you and your family raise pigs?
No we don’t, but I hope we can someday.

What’s your favorite thing to do in the barn?
Put some good music on and just simply study all the pigs that are in the barn.

What’s your favorite thing to do in the summer?
When there’s time between pig shows I like to play baseball and golf.
