My Champion Barrow is littermate to a new boar that Knauth just introduced named “Banana Breath.”
Prep work includes lots of walking, washing, weighing and evaluating pigs.
I am honored to have Champion Cross Barrow at 2023 Jr National TP show. I remember hearing the crowd cheer and my family and team being super excited for me.
Do you prefer summer or winter shows? Why?
I prefer summer shows because I am not in school and have more time to dedicate to my show pigs. Also the weather is better allowing me to work with them outside.
Who’s been your biggest influence?
I am super lucky to have a lot of people influence and support me through my show career. My family, show team and breeders all encourage me everyday to fit and show pigs at their best.
Do you and your family raise pigs?
No.
What’s your favorite thing to do in the barn?
I spend a lot of time taming pigs when they are young and tanning and conditioning their skin. My dad has recently promoted me to “Manure Management” Which means I now get to run the Kubota skid steer.
What’s your favorite thing to do in the summer?
My two favorite things to do during the summer is Getting to hang out with my show team at all the shows and swimming in our pool when I’m finished in the barn.
