After earning Champion Overall Crossbred Gilt at NJSS, Hayden shared his thoughts on dream wins, the exhibitors who have influenced him, and what you’ll find him doing when he isn’t showing pigs.

What is your favorite way to celebrate a win?
After a big win, I love to go back to the pens and hang out with my best friends and family. I will for sure get into some fun card games and go out to eat a good dinner.

What’s your dream show to win?
My dream show to win has to be the Indiana State Fair Gilts. It’s definitely the toughest show to win, and getting to the dirt is the best feeling in the world.

Who is another exhibitor that you look up to?
Another exhibitor I look up to is the Logue brothers. When I was younger, they always had good pigs, and I got to learn a lot about what it takes to win the big shows.

What’s one thing you can’t go without during a show?
At a show, I can’t go without a Sullivan Supply trailer. Every show, we have to make countless runs there to get show supplies, feed, and everything we didn’t pack.

Besides summer shows, what is something else you enjoy doing during the summer?
Other than summer shows, I enjoy playing basketball. Whether it’s outside on my goal or going to the school to practice, I’m always playing basketball.
