Fresh off a standout summer at The Exposition, Cara Greiner took a few minutes to share some of her favorite traditions, biggest influences, and what keeps her motivated both in and out of the show ring. 

What is your favorite way to celebrate a win?
By having a good meal.

What’s your dream show to win?
American Royal Market Hogs.

Who is another exhibitor that you look up to?
I really admired Brayden Lancaster over the last few years. He’s the kind of showman who was dedicated to his goals and didn’t take his wins for granted. No matter if things went his way or not, he’d always go home and keep working harder toward the next show.

What’s one thing you can’t go without during a show?
Not a thing, but a person — I can’t go without my sister Kalin helping back at the pens and standing ringside.

Besides summer shows, what’s something else you enjoy doing during the summer?
I’ve really enjoyed helping younger exhibitors with showmanship lessons in the little free time I have.
