We Caught up with Ms. McKenzie McInvale, exhibitor of the Grand Champion Market Gilt at the 2025 Georgia National. Learn more about McKenzie below..

What was one challenge you had to overcome for this show?
This was my Senior year, my last time in the ring on the green carpet so I wanted it to be memorable. I challenged myself to put in the extra work and to overcome any obstacles that presented themselves. Our weather in Georgia is ever changing so I worked really hard keeping my pigs healthy.

What was the toughest assignment or class you had to catch up on?
With me being a Senior I only have one class this semester which is my Early Childhood class so I was able to still do my work at night on my computer.

Favorite thing about this particular show?
My favorite thing about our state show is I am able to see all my friends from through out the state.

One thing you loved about your winner?
Mattie has probably been my favorite of all my projects. There was just something about her from the first time I saw her at the breeder’s. We connected quickly once we got home.

Favorite celebration restaurant?
Mexican

Any particular family show traditions?
Mexican! Have you really been to a pig show if your family and friends don’t meet up at the local Mexican restaurant afterwards.
