We caught up with Mr. Brandon Ogle before he steps “Inside the Ring” to sort the Market Barrow Show at the 2024 San Antonio Stock Show. Learn more about Brandon below!

Tell us a little about yourself and your background in the ag industry?
I reside here in Nokomis, Illinois with my wife Raeanne and family.  We raise Showpigs for a living and I also help the fellas at Crossroads with boar selection and semen sales.  

What are you looking forward to most about judging this show?
It’s San Antonio! I’m looking forward to sorting some of the best pigs and showman in the country. 

Any expectations going into it?
I expect it to be very good on the top end and the depth of quality to be there all week throughout the breeds.

What is a nonnegotiable for you when sorting hog shows?
Structure and soundness

Favorite hotel chain to stay in while at shows?
I’m a Hampton guy

What are you looking forward to in 2024?
Judging San Antonio barrows and OKC pure gilts is right up there.  It’s pig selling and breeding season so we are just getting warmed up on the year.
